Brad Barbera is the Director of Innovation at The Good Food Institute, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a healthy, humane, and sustainable food supply. GFI leverages markets and food innovation to transform our food system away from industrial animal agriculture and toward plant-based and clean meat alternatives. In the process, we address the global issues of environmental degradation, poverty and hunger, human health, and animal welfare.
The Innovation Department at GFI helps drive this transformation by creating, supporting, and growing start-ups in the plant-based meat and clean meat sectors. We inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs and support the most innovative companies with business plan reviews, market research, branding, recruiting top talent, financing, regulatory issues, consumer communications, scientific questions, and more.
